What really matters in LCD TV specs?
Here is why I ask. I am one of thousands of Americans who landed a black friday deal. Samsung 46" 1080p TV. It is friggin beautiful, but its only 60hz. I was told I would see motion blur on football games, and in video games, but my eye hasnt caught any. In fact I am doing better in Madden and C.O.D. then I ever did with my old Olevia. I have watch a half dozen football games. I dont see it! Am I blind, or is the Hz spec just hype.
The higher refresh rate in some LCD TV's are supposed to help the lag/blurr problems of the slow response of an LCD/LED...I fail to see the difference.... (Only plasma does not have this issue.) So if you like fast action, sports, gaming....you want plasma. I have looked at 120 and 240 refresh rates, I do not notice any big difference.. In fact, it seems to screw up viewing of some movies, something to do with frame rates vs. the refresh rates..Many movies are shot in 24 FPS... regular TV is 30 fps....Mixed with the 120 etc. refresh rates, there are downsides.... Check them out carefully at Best Buy, or any good TV store where you have many choices to view.. Walk off to the sides of an LED or LCD, then try that with a plasma....
