did i break my thumb????
i was playing capture the flag at camp and instead of tagging people we used flag football flags. I was trying to get this guys flag and when I went for it he moved towards my hand and my thumb bent back and it cracked and popped. It hurt really bad!!!!! I was almost at the point of crying and I don't cry! It is still a little swollen (after 2 ibeprophen) and it hurts to move certant ways. Is it broken??
its been 4 days now and its only a little bit swollen. but ive been getting annoying pain through my palm and base of the thumb. and thats with 2 ibprophen every 4-8 hours.... so whats up with my thumb?
Ouch! I'm not sure if it sounds like you broke it or not. But, this is your thumb...I would go to a doctor and have them take a look at it...you have may have displaced the joint, which can be remedied quickly...and, they may just put it into a thumb splint or they may do absolutely nothing, but you don't want to have it heal poorly (especially if the joint is out of place---you would need to have it put back in) or have any issues that could have been remedied by seeing a doctor...and, they might give you something a little stronger for the pain (no guarantee on that!lol) Hope you feel better!
