I cant spin my foot in Muay Thai HELP?
In muay thai when we use the forearm pads, when the persons holding it, he holds it on an angle. For me, this is harder to twist my foot and rotate. But everyone else can do it.
I usually twist my foot before i attempt the kick to get more power because i cant twist whilst kicking, should i do that?
When im shaddow sparring i can twist my foot but not when kicking the forearm pads. What should i do to get the twist in?
You are probably locking your knees while you kick, you need to bend your standing leg's knee while throwing the kick. Most of the time, I see guys throwing a roundhouse kick with locked knees, this makes it harder for them to twist their hips into the kick to get the angle right. Others also tend to put their weight on their heel instead of the ball of their foot when they twist their standing leg, which makes it even harder.
