I have a mini NFL football that will not hold air, can the inside bladder be repaired?
I have a collector's item. It is an NFL mini football signed by some NFL players from the 80's. The problem is over the years, the air came out. I tried to air it up using a air pump and a needle for the ball. I must have done something wrong and I am told I may have punctured the inside bladder. It will not hold any air. I can not put it under water to find the leaks because that may ruin the signatures. Any one know where I can take it to be repaired or if it can be repaired.
Check the internet for sports memorabilia shops in your area. Hopefully, you can fine one that has the proper tools to repair or replace the bladder.
Even if it costs more, I'd get the bladder replaced if possible since a patched one will have weak spots that will leak air in the future or maybe cause the ball to bulge around the laces.
