2) rocket powered sleds are used to test the responses of himans to acceleration. Starting from rest, one sled can reach a speed of 444m/s in 1.80s and can be brought to a stop again in 2.15s.
a) calculate the acceleration of the sled when starting and compare it to the acceleration due to gravity, 9.80m/s^2.
b) Find the acceleration of the sledwhen braking and compare it to the magnitude of the acceleration due to gravity.

a) Acceleration: a = 444/1.8 = 246.67 (m/s^2)
a/g = 246.67/9.8 = 25.2
b) Deceleration: a = -(444)/2.15 = -206.5 (m/s^2)
a/g = -206.5/9.8 = -21.1
