(a). The load resistance for maximum power transfer.
(b). The corresponding values of the terminal voltage and of the power supplied to the load.
If the load resistance were increased to twice the value for maximum power transfer, what would be the power absorbed by the load?
a) Maximum power transfered will occur when Ri=Rl, so the answer is 40 ohms.
b) The output voltage will be .5*12=6. The power delivered to the load is V^2/Rl=36/40=.9 watts.
