Short Elbow
Wedding Veil Help!

My fiance is in the Military so I want the wedding to look more on the formal side. I was wondering if I should go with a long cathedral veil or a short elbow length veil with crystals around the edges. I want to show the rouching on the back of my dress as much as possible.

Is your dress Adorae? Your dress is very elegant, just one band of bling, and I personally would choose a un- adorned veil to complement it, and I would not have a tiara. I would do a necklace and earrings though with it. If I chose a beaded veil, I would cut back on the size of the jewelry. I would want every eye in the church to home in on that band of crystals and the ruching, and that little bit of crystals at the kick. .
You are right to want to show off the ruching, it is very pretty.
You could do a short or a long veil, as you wish, that dress lends itself well to either one.
But I know what I would choose, and a long veil would be the one. Single layer, not gathered in a knot at the back of your head, but allowed to flow. If you can grab the ends and enfold yourself in it, that is what I am talking about.
That way, you can see the back of the dress through the veil, and you have added an elegant touch.
anyway, a long veil is a little more formal, just what you said you wanted.
And remember, LOL, that everyone will have plenty of time to see the back of your gown, since we don't wear the veil to the reception! So choose the one you want, the one dearest to your heart, that would have made your Mom or anyone's Mom, cry at the store
