what is the most durable soccer cleat?
I play soccer all year round and my cleats fall apart at a rapid rate, what is the most durable soccer cleat that can take a lot of beatings, so that i don't have to keep buying new shoes every season?
Kangaroo leather can be very strong, but I have seen many instances where the cleat has fallen apart faster than any other material. Synthetics usually don't fall apart at the seams nearly as much , but usually the glue comes off easy or else you wear through the material faster than you would with a leather. Ironically, the cleats that usually last the longest are the cheapo normal leather cleats. They are stiff at first and take much longer than kangaroo leather to break in, but they are very sturdy. I owned a pair of v-kats 2 years ago, and honestly the studs are showing more wear than the leather. The only thing that came undone was the glue where the leather met the bottom, but a little shoe goop fixed that, and those shoes have lasted a solid year of playing, plus some use randomly throughout the next year. I bought the v-1.08's but after about one and a half seasons i can tell the material will be wearing through soon. So if your looking for more durability than comfort and lightness, then go for the old crappy leather. If you can find a shoe that is well built with kangaroo leather than that would probably be a good middle ground, but be sure to put leather food on it or it'll go to pieces. The new Adidas Predator seems to work quite well.
